Data, Data Everywhere! Understand Your Data & Maximize Test Coverage

Measuring your test cases against the most appropriate conditions to ensure that all of your requirements are tested is critical. The testing process needs to provide the best coverage possible to improve quality. Data coverage analysis is critical in identifying what data is required to ensure that faults related to code interaction are discovered during the test phases and not in production. This session focuses on the issues and risks of poor data coverage. The process of Test Data Management (TDM) must be broken down into a cycle of phases, which follow the environment setup. These phases are; Data analysis, Data pools creation, Data pools validation, Data delivery, and Continuous improvement. Join Jessica to learn how to use TDM tools to measure and improve data coverage and provide a better quality product.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the issues and risks of poor data coverage and why production data isn’t enough
  • Learn where and when to use TDM tools to measure data coverage and improve it and the final product
  • Layer data coverage in with your code, path and requirement coverage
